During the past couple of years I lost a fair amount of weight, and it was much easier to find jeans, trousers, etc., when I wore a larger size. I remember having a discussion with a fashionista about this issue and she explained that the US is a huge (so so speak) market so it is economically viable to have tall, short, stout etc ranges but in smaller countries it is not viable, even for the likes of global businesses such as Gap, which has nice short/small sizes in the US but not in the UK. As it is I end of doing all of my clothes shopping when I visit my parents in the US.
