Nice to see Michael Grade and the Beeb governors starting to deal effectively with auntie’s anti-Israel problems. Barbara “blubb blubb” Plett indeed blubbed too much for Yasser without balancing her blubbing with blubbing for
Expat in Israel.

Oh yes, puh-leez let's get rid of the odious Orla. Talk about humourless, news-manipulating, agenda-driven reporters..!
Orla. Who she? Links please for us television challenged.
Voila, a classic story by Odious Orla: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/from_our_own_correspondent/3562938.stm
Speaking from firsthand exposure to Jerusalem-based foreign correspondents' gossip, even those with the "shitty little country" attitude think OO's a bit much.
OO
A very apt moniker for her toilet journalism...
I don't know if it made the news outside Israel but for a long time, there was a policy of keeping journalists away from the immediate scene of suicide bombings in Israel. Around two years ago, that changed and journalists were allowed to visit the aftermath. Immediate in the sense of within 2 hours when the results are still apparent before the clean up crews get to work. It made a huge difference
That is very interesting indeed. I was just thinking about this Israeli TV reporter I know. He was the kind of reporter who received an SMS within seconds of a suicide bombing and rushed to the scene immediately. After reporting live from more than 40 bombings, he couldn't control the flashbacks anymore and decided to see a behavioural therapist. He was only 28 years old at the time. I've got a few other stories like that about Israeli reporter/photographer friends.
According to Totally Jewish, OO is being reassigned to South Africa imminently. Assuming this report is accurate: good riddance.

Ha! Best news I've heard all day.
